Stacy Jane grew up in in the foothills of Ohio’s Appalachian Mountains in a large farming family. She writes literary nonfiction, as well as educational pieces on transgender and queer diversity, pedagogy, and inclusion. Stacy Jane is a first-generation college student who earned a B.A. in Chinese from the Ohio State University and is currently completing an M.A. in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Cincinnati.

Stacy directs the Flyover Library, a collection of books by Midwestern authors or books about the Midwest located in at Wild Goose Creative in Columbus, Ohio. Flyover champions work by authors in “Flyover States” and works to support and celebrate the region and the literature inspired by it, as well as offer programming to the community, such author talks and signings, writing workshops, poetry readings, book clubs, and other literary events.

Outside of writing, Stacy Jane enjoys urban and rural exploration, collecting antiques, taxidermy, wet preserves, and historic photographs, and parenting her two cats with her partner, a photographer and German studies scholar.
